Happy Holidays Family & Friends,
We are in the middle of the holiday season. Last week we were celebrating Thanksgiving. We had a nice little visit with Michelle,Cindy, Todd, and Reagan. We were in the middle of getting Heather and her family moved in with us, while getting carpet put down. So we did not get to visit with them as much as we wanted. I am sure they had a good time with their mom and dad and Uncle Don and Aunt Sue.
Maybe next time things will be more relaxed and Todd can teach me how to make my person for the Wii Game. We did not get to play this time around.
Then, Thanksgiving Day rolled around. We had a very nice dinner and visit with Bill, Midge, Kay and John. Not our usual hustle and bustle, with lots of people but a great time anyway. We enjoyed Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, and corn. For desserts we had pecan pie, pumpkin pie and a pumpkin roll. YUMMIE. After eating the guys all went to the living room to watch football "in their dreams" and on TV. We ladies sat around the table visiting. It was a very relaxing time.
The Friday and our Annual Family Gathering took place. At this time , we do our Christmas swap. This year, we no longer just swapped ornaments, we swapped anything the creator wanted to create. Lots of WONDERFUL, goodies from everyone. So many treasures for a long time to come. This year in attendance was, Charlie & me, Sue & Don, Midge, Matt & Teresa with Nathan, Jeff & Doreen with Jason, Elly & Faith, and Ted & Tracy. We had so much fun opening the swaps and then chatting afterwards. This is always the time of year I enjoy the most. Being able to be with my family each year, has given me such wonderful memories. I can hardly wait till next year.
Since these days, we have celebrated Heather's 32nd Birthday, and today Jason's 35th birthday. Then next week, we will be celebrating Charlie's 61st birthday. We all know what comes after that for our house.......The celebration of the birth of Jesus........
Hope your holidays are turning out good, so far.

It's Been A While
Well, It has been a while, since I have added anything here. Guess there is not much going on in our lives, that is blogable. lol
Our first big update is that our family has been blessed with two new nephews. Our nephew William and his wife Brooke, had a baby boy. His name is Liam and WOW what a beauty. They did good. It makes me sad and always has, that I have lived so far from the Byrd family. I would love to babysit them, and watch them grow up. Thank goodness for computers and digital cameras.I sure hope I get to see Liam before he is so big he is walking.
Also, our niece Melissa and her husband Charlie, had a baby boy. We are calling him Lil' Charlie. We have so many Charlie's in this family. Again, he is INCREDIBLE. I can not wait to meet him too. Charlie and Melissa have a perfect little family now. I am so proud of them.
Thank you Lord, for these two new additions to our family. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Chris and Katie's little girl.
It has been a busy week so far. I took my Dear Friend Teri, for some test this week. Been doing a lot of praying, that God's Will, will be that she can take disability. She has worked so hard all her life, she deserves to take it easy. She has been sick far too long and maybe not working so hard, is what the doctor can order.
I called today to find out what Charlie's cardiologist thinks about his recent tests. She is still waiting on one piece of information and then she will give us a call. I am feeling a little better because I am sure she would have called us in, if there was a need. Perhaps, what ever was wrong on the heart echo, has had time to clear itself up.
Cheyenne took a fall of the trampoline at her friends house on Saturday. Thought she broke her wrist. Hospital says nothing is broken. The swelling in her wrist and fingers, is starting to go down. That is good. Next week Charlie and I will be watching the grandkids, while Dan & Heather are at work. That should be fun. I have been busy getting some craft projects ready for them to do. However, I think all three of them will also be wanting to work on their next model with Papa.
Looking forward to having my sister Midge back up here. Hopefully, she and I will get to do more this time. I am trying real hard to convince myself; that I do not have to stay around the house with Charlie all the time. Just not easy for me to do.
Well, I hope everyone has a safe and colorful Independence Day!
Happy 4th Of July!

Easter
We had a very quiet Easter. Woke up to snow/sleet on the ground. It melted and it snowed and sleeted all day long. Dan, Heather and Cheyenne came over for dinner. I cooked some baked chicken and dressing, cauliflour with cheese sauce, corn, and we had banana cream and chocolate cream pies. There was Charlie, Bill, Dan, Heather, Cheyenne and I, and it was nice to have a full table..
Cheyenne spent the night with us, since she did not have school today. We did some scrap booking and got her Valentine Scrap Book completely caught up. She is proud of it and I am proud that she enjoys keeping her memories in scrap books.

Wednesday
Today was a good day.
Midge is here visiting because of hers and Bill's 30th Anniversary. She, Cheyenne and I started the day, by going to visit Elly in the hospital. Poor baby, she is so pale and sick. Just praying so hard for it to be Gods will, that the doctors find her problem soon. Also that He guide all the medical staff in bringing her back to health.
This evening Sue, Don, Faith, Charlie and I took Bill and Midge to a steak restaurant to celebrate their anniversary. It was nice being together.
We have had so much rain here, that the rivers are all out of their banks. Feel so bad for those who have lost their homes to the floods.
I hope all of you are enjoying your week.

Wednesday
What a beautiful day today was. We had temps in the low 70's.
Cheyenne spent the night with us last night. So we woke up early today to take her to school. Around noon, Charlie wanted to get out of the house. So we went and had a light sandwich for lunch and drove in to St. Charles. We went to Sam's. Have not been there in at least a year. Could have spent a fortune, if we had a fortune. lol After leaving there we went to Mid Rivers Mall and walked all around the mall. It wore him out, but it was a good kind of tired. When we got back to the truck, we sat there and rested a while. Then he wanted to go to Chili's for dinner. We had a light dinner and then came home.
We enjoyed every minute of this day. We laughed a lot and we have not done that in a while, either.
I hope all of you had a great day today too.

Sunday
Today was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and it was about 50*. Charlie and I went in to town and had lunch. Tried to soak up some sunshine. Jason called while we were gone, so we missed his call. Hoping he will call back later. Charlie is having a pretty good day today. He has been working on a model for Evan. It is a model of a Chevy Impala that he put together almost 50 years ago. It had headlights and tail lights. Over the years, they quit working. Charlie has shopped around to find a way of making new ones. He finally found what he needed. He then stripped the paint, and is going to repaint it for Evan. Evan will be thrilled when he sees it. It is one of Evan's favorites out of all Charlie's models.

Today was another cold day for us. No snow, so that was nice.
The ground is nearly clear of all left over snow.
We have all been enjoying the day, taking it easy.
