It has been a sad couple days here. Started yesterday morning when Heather called early. I knew
something was terribly wrong, as I could not understand her. Her dog Scooter, our "Granddoggie" died during the night, at the hospital. My heart has been breaking not only because we lost Scooter but because this is so hard on my daughter and grandchildren. Each time I talk with Heather or Cheyenne, I want to reach through the phone and hold and hug them. Gosh, it hurts soooo bad when
the ones you love so dearly, are so broken hearted.
Scooter has been a part of our family for 10 years. My grandchildren were only 1, 2 and 4 when they adopted him. Scooter and the kids have grown up together. Scooter has been our granddoggie. We loved him too. He loved to play with all of us. He loved to sit with us and talk. Ask him a question and he would answer in his Scooter voice. Ask him if he wanted a treat, he would tell you. arrrrr. that meant yes, please. He knew when it was time for the school bus and would sit in the DR doorway and wait till Chey touched the door handle, then wagged his way to the door, to greet her. You could ask him if he wanted to play Frisbee and he would run out in the back yard and bring that Frisbee, ready to chase and retrieve. At 85 pounds he still thought he was a Lap Dog. If you sat on the floor, he wanted to sit in your lap. I got him and Bandit some Road Kill for Christmas. Road Kill, is stuffed animals without the stuffing. HE LOVED IT. I could go on and on about Scooter...... I love you Scooter and will miss you!

Dolphins Visted Us Today
We were fortunate today to have a dolphin show,
right out front of our condo balcony.
I made a slide show. There are 45 pictures.
In the photos you will find pics with
1 up to 6-7 Dolphins.
There is one photo of a dolphin "WAVING" his tail.
One of a dolphin "JUMPING" out of the water and
one of it, "DIVING" back into the water.
Hope you enjoy. Sorry they are not closer. By the time we saw them, they were past us.

Where Oh Where has the month of February gone?
Seems like I was just saying, I can not believe it is
February already, now it is the last day.
I am sitting here at the dining room table, while Charlie sleeps,
listening to the wonderful sound of waves crashing
on the beach. I am so going to miss this, when it is time
to leave and go home, to the sound of cars and sirens going
by our house. lol
Today is my nieces daughter Paisley's 5th Birthday.
Happy ~ Happy Birthday Paisley!
We hope all of you back home and around
the world are doing well.
Loving hugs to all of you.

We have seen DOLPHINS
Hi Everyone,
Hope all is well. I know most of you are snowed in these days. Been another strange Winter. Makes Charlie and I, very grateful to not be home. It has not been normal temps here in Panama City Beach either, but with what is going on at home, we try not to complain.
YES, you read the title of this post right! We have as of today, had the excitement of watching dolphins swim by where we are staying.A few days ago we watched a pod of what we believe to have been 5-6. Today we counted 3.
OMG we get so excited. Next week is going to be in the 70's. We are hoping that brings the
little beauty's, even CLOSER to the beach. So glad we are on the 11th floor because I doubt we would have seen them, if we were on the first few floors.
Will update more later.
Love to all of you!

Peacemaker Tall Ship Tour
All of you know how much Charlie enjoys building Tall Ship Models. I found out this tall ship the Peacemaker Flagship of the Twelve Tribes was in Panama City. He has not been feeling well but wanted to go see it. When we arrived there, he lit up like a Christmas Tree. Tours were free and he enjoyed every minute of it. It was a beautiful day 62* . Check out the website of the ship, very interesting www.peacemakermarine.com

Monday
Well today Charlie was feeling better and wanted to go for a drive. It was drizzling rain and 54*. I suggested we wait for a day when it was dry, as he has not felt well since before we left home. NOPE, not going to happen. So I go to the parking garage, get the car and pick him up out front. He was exhausted just going from the condo, to the elevator to the car. We made a few stops and he wanted to drive through Pier Park, to see what it was like. When we got home, he laid down on the sofa, and started having chills. He is in bed now, covered from head to toe in blankets. Hopefully, he will break with the chills soon, and feel better tomorrow.

We arrived in Panama City Beach
Hi Everyone, We made it to Panama City Beach on Sunday.
We were able to stay ahead of the ice storms by driving
more each day than planned. Charlie did really well but is tired.
Only bad weather we had was just as soon as, we back out of
our garage at home, it started to snow, like a blizzard.
About 70 miles down the road we ran out of snow. Each night
we stopped they were talking about an ice storm coming to
that location the next day. So we got up early and took off.
The condo we rented it WAY nicer than the pictures showed.
Our mouths dropped for a good 5 minutes when we walked
through the doors. The view is a million dollar view, from the
Kitchen, Living room and Master Bedroom. Will post photos soon.
Wish all of you were here with us. Bye for now.

The girls can dance.
Okay, Cheyenne and Alaina wanted me to stop by Blockbuster
Video Store and rent them the Wii Game......Dance 2. They
have been having so much fun with it this evening. Those girls
can dance, just like Heather. Whew, wore me out watching. Just
one more day off school for Christmas break. Wow it was a long one this year.
Charlie and I got the outside Christmas decorations put away today.
Trying to clear our Honey Do List so we can leave this weekend for
Florida. So much to do in so little time. We CAN do it.

Jan 2,2011
Today was a very laid back day. Charlie spent the day watching
several football games. No his team the St. Louis Rams
are not going to the playoffs. :(
While he was watching the game. I took a long drive
through the state park near our home,
Cuivre River State Park. It was a sunny day
for a change so the drive was nice.
Hard to believe a week ago we had just gotten 5" of
snow. We had taken a drive that day in our 4-wheel drive truck.
The flakes were some of the largest we had ever seen. It made
for the most beautiful snow, we had ever seen. Took lots of
photos and think, I may make my Christmas Cards for 2001,
using a couple photos.
So, that is it for today. Not much happening but I did
make a post to my blog. YAY! lol
